Poetry Sunday
Thank you for publishing Marjory Wentworth's bimonthly column "On Poetry." I only wish it could be every Sunday. I love the way she introduces her audience to great poetry, the bright star of language, with her engaging, warm and insightful commentary. Every other Sunday I get to read new poetry that opens my mind, enlarges my world and educates my imagination.
Sometimes even better, Ms. Wentworth takes us back to old friends and their poems, and the forgotten wonder of their poetry warms my heart. I often clip her columns and send them to a nephew out of state who is an aspiring poet.
I call the days you publish "On Poetry" Poetry Sunday. It starts my week with hope. We are blessed to have the poet laureate of South Carolina living and publishing in Charleston.
