Spring 2012 release!

From World Series Pitcher To Picture Books!

In the 1960s, Wally Bunker was considered a boy wonder, entering the Major League as a mere teenager and becoming Rookie Pitcher of the Year. In 1966, he helped pitch the Baltimore Orioles to a World Series victory against the Dodgers.

Today, he’s using that same talented hand to paint, make pottery, play piano, and write and illustrate picture books about a fanciful Lowcountry bird named Wal-de-Mar Wiggins.

Wally and Kathy Bunker
He and his wife Kathy, artists in residence at Palm Key Nature Getaway in S.C., team up on everything they create.

Their first book will be released by Joggling Board Press at the start of the baseball season in 2012.
